What to Blame: Is it my SEO apps or is it Search Engines?
I confess. Prior to finding out about SEO apps and site promotion field, I considered that Google was great. I Googled everything from friends, to images, to current events to weird gadgets and indiscriminately trusted the results. Then I found out about SEO products and a whole business specializing in site optimization, and my convictions changed. But even prior to my revelation, after doing some philosophical musings, I got an inkling that search engines, Google included, know far from everything, and share with the users a tiny portion of what they know.
My Google experiences soon persuaded me that Flikr is a higher quality image data bank, that with the assistance of RSS I can access great news coverage without the need to rummage through Google search results (rummaging is more fitting than Google search), and people search is better administered by Facebook. It seems like every time I look for odd gadgets on Google, the results are often inaccurate, to put it kindly. Try searching for SEO products and other SEO connected topics on Google and you are just about prepared to give up your patience. I mean, come on, what’s the relationship between SEO apps and employment websites or Internet casinos? Turns out in my distress.
So when news of link building software and the whole field built around it entered my humble worldview, my suspicions about webpages coming up on first page of Google grew exponentially. Do they merit to show up on there and whose fault is it, Google or site promoters using SEO apps. The moral quandary is huge. Do I stop using my SEO google rank checker or do I quit using Google instead? I resolved that I can’t quit Google just yet. At least not until the decent contender enters the picture. For now I will keep juggling between Blekko, Google and the above methods to complement the SERP mess that Google is. And, oh,yes, I will continue using my SEO apps.
Truth is that SEO apps is the reason why guys like me get discovered on the Internet. Sophisticated as they are, search engine web indexers are not likely to find some little dude and rank his domain highly. In this regard, I remain a steadfast believer in SEO products and natural search. If it was all about the money, the Fortune entities would destroy me before I knew it. And there are 1000 powerbrands on the Fortune roll! But here is something else that annoys me and other backlink check users, I am confident. There are individuals who buy SEO applications and use them to sell beddingon career sites and such. What we have is litter that not only takes over the Internet but is also well indexed by Google.
What is the public reaction to this? People search for SEO software reviews and will instead find irrelevant search findings. They get disillusioned. So much for the “Internet fairness”. Does this imply that SEO program and service field is bad? Probably not.
The abusers of SEO applications have to stop bastardizing the Internet but it’s like asking hackers to stop hacking. The unfortunate side about it is that black hat SEOs are overusing the prospect to be noticeable on the Net that is offered to the average person like myself. For now people just have to tolerate them. One can only hope that Google will put more emphasis on spotting the schemers abusing SEO products, and if Google doesn’t, the big search engine will.
